Camping Hellas is an ideal starting place for excursions. In the city of Volos you can visit the beautiful harbour with its boulevard of traditional tsipouro tavernas, where you can enjoy this strong local snap served with delicious fresh local fish dishes.

Also in Volos you can visit the local archaeological museum, the University of Thessaly, a number of impressive churches, and the Neolithic settlement of Sesklo, Dimini and N. Anchialos.

From the village of Ano Lechonia starts the oldest steam train in Greece; it travels through the magnificent mountainous nature of Pelion to the traditional village of Milies where you can visit the historical library & the local folk museum.

Excursions are available daily to the picturesque mountain villages of Zagory, Tsagarada, Macrinitsa and others, as well as to the beautiful beaches on the east side of the peninsula.

You can try a sailing trip around the gulf or a day trip to the island of Skiathos on the old fishing boat Elizabeth. You will have the chance to swim out in the blue Aegean Sea and maybe encounter dolphins and sea turtles.

For nature lovers we can arrange activities with professionally organized teams to guide you through the traditional mountain paths.

Besides trekking, other activities such as caving, mountain biking, rafting, canoes-kayak and flying fox are also available.
